Seventeen students from eleven universities began the spring semester of the 2025/2026 academic year at Bárczi on Monday.
During the spring semester, students from Åbo Akademi University (Finland), Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, Leibniz Universität Hannover, Pädagogische Hochschule Heidelberg, Technische Universität Dortmund (Germany), HOGENT University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Belgium), Ghent University (Belgium), The Maria Grzegorzewska University (Poland),Oslo Metropolitan University (Norway), University of Thessaly (Greece) and State University ‘Uzhhorod National University (Ukraine) participate in our faculty's foreign language courses.
The orientation day began with welcoming remarks by Dr. Anikó Sándor, Vice Dean for International Affairs, and Attila Erdős (Head of the International Office), followed by an introduction to the services offered by the faculty library.
This was followed by presentations by Anna Lázár (Foreign Affairs Officer, Bárczi Student Union), Hanna Karola Kálmán (Bárczi Faculty Mentor, Erasmus Student Network) and Alexa Rimay (Manager, Erasmus Life Budapest) informed incoming students about the various programs available to international students at the faculty and throughout Budapest.
The day continued with a fun get-together and snacks, followed by Gréta Kövecses (Erasmus+ coordinator, International Office) presenting the most important information about administrative tasks and the faculty. The orientation ended with planting flowers, which has become a tradition at the faculty, and the students' plants will decorate the international corridor connecting Building A and the cafeteria until the end of the semester.
